So, first things first. Let’s get this out of the way sharpish… Young Mabel is indeed the daughter of the legendary Neneh Cherry. I guess ‘The Cherry Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree!’ (Anyone…?)
However, don’t assume that just because of her family connections, she has a free pass straight into stardom. Mabel is still unsigned and would rather enlist the help of her mates than lean on her famous contacts. And the independent hustle seems to be working well for her. She’s just been included on the BBC Music #SoundOf2016 list as a hot prospect to watch out for next year.

So, i’m still yet to hear a bad record from Canadian duo Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman (Majid Jordan). This is the latest in a series of impressive tracks released over the past couple years since being signed to OVO Sound - Drake’s record label.

It’s late on a school night and, as usual, I can’t sleep. Perfect time to hit up the Spotify playlist… This guy’s music will inevitably show up on shuffle and have me hyping in my pjs!
One of my tips for stardom last year, he’s recently just been signed and has an exciting headline show coming up in London - which I managed to cop some tickets for.
Stumbled across his awesome song ‘Take Our Time’ which samples the late, great J-Dilla a little while ago and have followed his progress since. One of my favourite artists to emerge from the shadows - it’s just a matter of time before you know who he is too.
